Job Description:

Performs relatively simple, semi-skilled duties in the construction, repair, and maintenance of the university grounds and/or property.

JOB DUTIES

Essential duties, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Mows, trims, waters and provides general campus grounds maintenance, as needed.
Picks up campus litter and empties trash receptacles.
Occasionally performs general maintenance such as landscape installations, basic constructions, and power washing of university property, etc.
Cleans parking garages and parking lots.
Performs ice clean up, cleans storm sewers, cleans damage from hail, rain, and high wind.
May occasionally assists other landscape services or facilities services departments with tasks of a routine, unspecialized nature (warehouse cleaning, stocking, furniture moving, events set-up, etc.).
Mulches plants and installs plant materials such as trees, shrubs, grass and ground cover.

Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interact with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies.
Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.
Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATION

Required:

Less than High School Diploma.

Preferred:

High School Diploma or GED.

EXPERIENCE

Required:

None.

Preferred:

One year of general lawn care experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Preferred:

Attention to accuracy in all work.

Bilingual (Spanish and English).

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Required:

Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License and have a good driving history. May not have more than two moving violations in a three-year period.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

All jobs require a current Criminal Background Check (CBC).
